Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
needs to play in a two. could be a very handy player under a different manager who didn't first watch his DVD 20 minutes before he signed and thought "that's my new fellaini there".

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
The effort was there. Looks like he could be decent with a bit of settling in time.

Fingers crossed.

We can't play him, Noble and Rice together though. Far too defensive a trio. I was surprised by that line up actually. Hopefully that's not the selection going forward because we're not going to make a lot of attacking inroads into any side like that.

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
If Eggy insists on making poor efforts at defending the board, players or the manager then I'll call him a poor poster.

As a professional football manager, Moyes should always be looking for players in the eventuality of getting a job rather than sitting doing nothing.

Chris Hughton, who would have been a much better appointment (although not necessarily ideal) was talking the other day about how he is still getting to matches, still looking at players in other leagues, keeping his hand in.

If Moyes wasn't doing that, rather than attempting to apologise for that, Eggy should be rightly criticising him. But as usual he plays the silly blind defence card, hence I branded his post and him poor.

Your disgraceful attempts at playing some kind of card instead of addressing the obvious point I was making says more about you than it does me.

His anticipation of where the ball might go looked good so if the pace isn't there at least it looks like he has some concept of pre-empting danger with his defensive positioning

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
Was surprised to see him playing infront of Noble and Rice but he got up in support of Haller quite well and he's obviously more of a threat to get on the end of crosses.

Would assume he'll drop back into the more DM role after more training sessions, maybe Moyes thought the communication or positioning might not be there yet so gave him a freer role.

I just think it's a bit POOR (see what I did there?) of you to use the old mental health card here to get some imaginary points for yourself.

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
Trundle, you do like following me around this board don't you? I almost feel like I know you....

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
Thought he done alright considering he's had what 1 training session, seemed to get forward a few times as well which was pleasing to see.

Decent start. Lets see how he progresses.

Possibly the worst example you could have highlighted as cyber bullying there, ray.

Was it the bit calling him "poor" that tipped you over this edge?

I would have thought that due to recent events on here you might start to give your weak and pitiful cyber bullying a rest, it appears not.
Do you actually get off on trying to belittle posters? I ask because not everyone on here can take the constant denigration you constantly dish out, be careful.

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
Having been at the club for just a few days, he did a decent job.

Didn't shine for me but didn't do much wrong either.

I'm sure he'll get better with games.

His game is all about size, strength and endeavor
coupled with tactical nouse and refined technique

Thought he had a very good game, and im guessing his not been brought in for his speed. He look comfy on the ball, and at least played it forward unlike the crab (Noble).

Of course managers don’t watch football when they’re not employed by a club. They completely ignore it and never scout for any players they might want to sign were they to get a job.

Another poor post from a very poor poster.

Not sure how we’ve managed to sign a player that’s slower than every single player we have.....

He was the box to box midfielder Sir Alf and others have been crying for.
Hope it continues

Andy

That’s my main issue, aside from it signing another forward or defender

We’ve dropped loads of points and got dumped out the cup because our squad is t good enough. The fact that we didn’t ship out any reserves shows how little anyone else wanted them

Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
On the other hand, if we had those 5 points on the board Sully might not have got his wallet out.

Bernie 3:19 Sun Feb 2
Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
Agree Andy.

We've probably sacrificed 5 points for the sake of doing the deals right at the end of the window, the table would be looking a damn site better if we had those points now

andyd12345 2:29 Sun Feb 2
Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
I just think it’s a massive shame we didn’t have Soucek, Randolph and Bowen all early in the window. Add those three players and we probably beat Everton, get at least a point against Sheffield Utd and beat Brighton

eusebiovic 2:02 Sun Feb 2
Re: Tomáš Souček Signed
I saw enough there to suggest this fella is going to do a pretty good job. Not bad considering he probably only had a training session or two.

I still think we need to play a 3-4-1-2 with Rice at the back in the Sweeper role, Soucek + Snoddy in the middle. Noble can play the more advanced role and come on or off for Anderson/Lanzini as and when needed.

Haller/Antonio/Bowen up front

Lean times for optimum but...
